This is amazing painting. The color variety works VERY harmoniously...really. What a great frame-able piece to hang on any wall
Did you use another medium besides watercolor for shading? Awesome work...

Thanks very much again!

No, mostly just watercolour, but I sometimes might use a fine pen in places and a bit of pencil in others, like the face of the lady in the book. Whatever goes really! I don't count myself as a traditional watercolourist or very good with watercolours. I tend to be a bit heavy with the paint! Same with my oil pastels, etc. I just love colour too much, I guess! Lol! :D

I made my own frame for it out of carved and cut wood, involving two dragons entwined on either side! I never really thought to upload that as well as it seems a bit dated now. If I get a bit short of something to show I might use that! Lol.

Thanks again for asking.

Of course~!~ Yeah. I agree...watercolors can look great w/ other elements...and ANYTHING does go as far as art is concerned.
I'd like to see the frame~!

Yes! I agree. The word I hate in art is "cheating", especially when people have used a computer, etc. I think a lot of people would be surprised just how much cheating the "Old Masters" did to complete their master works. So long as people are honest and not misleading, it's the end result that counts for me!

I'll see about that frame then! Lol!

You are EXACTLY right about the Masters. They all had their shortcuts, and would have used modern inventions if they were alive today~!
